This accessibility statement applies to roberth572.sg-host.com.
This website is run by Sirona care & health. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
The site is built on WordPress and some of the restrictions of this platform are evident:
- Heading hierarchy is not always consistent but visually compliant to the theme
- Form labels on core forms such as search cannot be amended and are not compliant to 2.4.6.
- Some PDF documents are not rendered as html but the supplied PDF files are generally compliant
- You cannot skip to the main content when using a screen reader (this is an issue across WordPress sites)
- There are some broken same page links, which are part of the WordPress structure
- There are some redundant or duplicated links which need to be in place for logical use of a link
- Some <noscript> elements are present
- A full transcript is not included for all (any) videos

Compliance status
- This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to restrictions on the current platform (WordPress)
Non-accessible content
- External content from ‘online resources’ uses JS to add widgets from an external source the accessibility of these are poor but cannot be altered on site.
- Browsealoud plugin has 2.1.1 error: Broken same page link.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- 1.1: Homepage: Search box; Missing form label – 1.3.1/2.4.6/3.3.2
- 1.1: Online resources: Quit smoking box: Logo has not alternative text nor does the spacer above it
- 3.1: Throughout site: Heading order is out or page does not have a first H1 tag. The aesthetics of the site outweigh the need to update. Advisory.
- 1.1: Header Mobile search and Salient (wordpress theme) have built in broken same page link
- 4.6: Form labels on core forms such as search cannot be amended and are not compliant
Disproportionate burden
Navigation and accessing information
- It’s not possible for users to change text size without some of the content overlapping.
Interactive tools and transactions
- We’ve assessed the cost of changing platform from WordPress to another will be a disproportionate burden as the general accessibility is good throughout the site
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
Some of our PDFs and Word documents are essential to providing our services. For example, we have PDFs with information on how users can access our services, and forms published as Word documents. By September 2020, we plan to either fix these or replace them with accessible HTML pages. The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. Any new PDFs or Word documents owned by Sirona care & health which are published on this site will meet accessibility standards.
Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
