UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) resources
UKHSA has created a oral health toolkit which includes training materials, templates and links to publications. It’s a live document, with further resources added as they become available. The toolkit consists of different sections including the below

This section provides links to oral health information for care home residents and their families, friends and carers.

This section led by Health Education England includes training slides, a manual with further information, slides, recorded webinars and a catalogue of online videos to support oral health training.

The documents for care home managers include care home policy templates, a quality assurance checklist and a baseline assessment to help care home managers put NICE guidance into practice.

Mouth Care Matters
Mouth Care Matters is a national Health Education England (HEE) funded training initiative to improve the oral health of patients in hospital and of care home residents through education and training of those caring for them. They have produced resources and also provide training sessions for care home staff regarding mouth care support for adults in care homes.

E-learning for Healthcare have created a module on Management of sore mouth and other oral problems which provides a framework for the assessment and management of a sore mouth and other oral problems.
You will need to create an account/sign in to access the e-Learning for Healthcare portal.
Once you are registered/signed in, search for ‘management of sore mouth and other oral problems’ and enrol on the course.
