Recognising Carer’s Week

By 11th June 2020January 26th, 2022No Comments

This year, Carers Week is about coming together to help Make Caring Visible and to recognise the massive contribution carers make to families and communities.

People across the country are continuing to face new challenges as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. Many people are taking on more caring responsibilities for their relatives and friends who are disabled, ill or older and who need support.

They need to be recognised for the difficulties they are experiencing, respected for all they are doing, and provided with information, support and understanding.

To show our support for Carers Week, Julie Sharma, our Director of Transformation has filmed a video for you all to watch. It’s also been shared with the Carers Support Centre.

Please also take the time to view this video from Kate Rush, our Medical Director, which is answering questions from carers about our response to the pandemic.

There are lots of resources available on the Carers Support Centre website, including videos, virtual events and advice for young carers
