By 17th May 2023No Comments

We are delighted to launch a new British Sign Language (BSL) video interpreting service for people using our services across the area.

The service allows BSL users to instantly communicate with us by video, either remotely, or in-person with our colleagues. The new service is a big step towards improving access to our services and providing equity in communication.

The service is being run by InterpretersLive! and isavailable on-demand seven days a week between 8am – 8pmBSL users can instantly communicate, or pre-book, a video call with an interpreter to provide interpretation. It can be used on your laptop or desktop and you can also download the InterpretersLive! app to use on your phone or device.

The service does not replace in-person interpreting but does provide an additional communication option for people who are Deaf or hearing impaired.

Our BSL video interpreting page contains all the information and details about how to access the service.
