Introducing SilverCloud digital mental health support for children and young people

By 2nd December 2025No Comments

The Integrated Care Board has commissioned a new, accessible digital mental health support service for children and young people, and their families, across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG).

Developed by clinical experts and backed by research, SilverCloud provides interactive tools and strategies to help manage anxiety, low mood, stress, and build resilience. Programmes are confidential and can be accessed any time from a computer or mobile device. The service complements our wider NHS mental health offer in BNSSG and strengthens our commitment to improving the emotional health and wellbeing of local families.

SilverCloud is most suited to young people over 13 years old who are presenting with a mild to moderate level of anxiety or low mood and willing to give online CBT a try. It is likely they will be able to navigate and utilise the platform independently, though there are SilverCloud supporters available who will provide support to young people and their parents as they use the programme.

There are also modules available for parents and carers to help them to support their children and young people with anxiety or low mood. There are two options available for parents and carers, those whose children are 5-12 years and another for parents and carers of children over 12.

To self-refer, visit the Northpoint SilverCloud referral page for BNSSG. If you are unsure about the suitability of the programme, you can contact Northpoint directly on 0113 868 3483 or bnssg@northpoint.org.uk
