From September 2019, all young people in the birth cohort for Year 8 have been offered the HPV vaccinations, as part of the national NHS school-age immunisations programme.

The vaccine protects against HPV-related cancers in boys and girls, such as head and neck, anal, cervical and genital cancers.

The HPV vaccine will be given as one injection in the upper arm, this vaccine is usually given in year 8.

A consent form will be emailed to you by your child’s school. You can also fill in the consent form here.
