The Community Respiratory Service is made up of health care professionals who specialise in providing services for people with chronic respiratory diseases. This service is available for any adult who is over 18 years, who lives in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area and is registered with a GP from these areas.

What we do
Our advice and guidance service are staffed by specialist nurses and physiotherapists for healthcare professionals, including those working in general practice, care homes, the ambulance service and 111. Queries could include such issues such as a deteriorating NEWS score, managing acute breathlessness, oxygen weaning, management of COPD and non-compliance with medication.

Healthcare professionals can call the dedicated advice and guidance line, available Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm.
