Helping you stay safe, independent and connected at home

Technology Enabled Care (TEC) uses a range of innovative devices and monitoring systems to support people to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Whether you need extra reassurance, support following illness or injury, assistance with memory, or technology to help a family member remain safe at home, our experienced TEC team can assess your needs and recommend the most appropriate equipment.

Our aim is to provide practical solutions that improve independence, reduce risk and give peace of mind to both individuals and those who care for them.

What is Technology Enabled Care?

Technology Enabled Care combines assistive technology with professional support to help people manage everyday life more safely and confidently.

Many devices work independently, while others connect to our 24-hour monitoring service, enabling help to be arranged quickly if an emergency occurs.

Technology can support people who:

  • Are at risk of falls
  • Live alone
  • Have memory or cognitive difficulties
  • Have reduced mobility
  • Are recovering after illness or injury
  • Have long-term neurological conditions
  • Need additional reassurance while remaining independent
  • Support a loved one in a caring role

Our experienced team will work with you to understand your circumstances before recommending equipment that best meets your needs.

We can:

  • Assess your individual requirements
  • Recommend suitable equipment
  • Arrange installation where appropriate
  • Explain how equipment works
  • Provide ongoing advice and support
  • Help identify technology that can improve independence

Because everyone’s situation is different, we tailor our recommendations to your lifestyle, home environment and level of support.

Types of Technology Available

We offer a wide range of technology designed to support different aspects of daily living.

Monitored Alarm and Pendant Systems

Our monitored alarm and pendant service provides reassurance that help is available at the press of a button.

If an alarm is activated, a call is immediately sent to our locally based monitoring centre, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Trained operators assess the situation and can contact nominated keyholders or emergency services if required.

Fall Detection Technology

Automatic fall detectors are designed for people who may be unable to raise an alarm themselves after a fall.

The detector can recognise a serious fall, automatically alert the monitoring centre and also allows manual activation if assistance is needed.

Home Safety Sensors

A variety of wireless sensors can improve safety around the home.

Available sensors include:

  • Door sensors
  • Smoke alarms
  • Heat sensors
  • Flood detectors
  • Carbon monoxide detectors
  • Bed occupancy sensors
  • Chair occupancy sensors

These can be linked to monitored alarm systems, providing additional reassurance for users and their families.

Equipment for Carers

Many devices are designed to support family members and carers by providing notifications when assistance may be needed.

Examples include:

  • Motion sensors
  • Bed exit alarms
  • Chair exit alarms
  • Door alarms
  • Pager systems
  • Large call buttons
  • Pillow switches

These products help carers respond quickly while allowing the person they support to maintain as much independence as possible.

Memory Support Technology

Technology can also support people living with memory difficulties or dementia.

Products include:

  • Memory clocks
  • Reminder devices
  • Multimedia reminder systems
  • Medication prompts
  • Calendar displays
  • Personalised reminder messages

These devices can encourage independence by helping people remember medications, appointments and everyday routines.

Everyday Living Equipment

The TEC team can also advise on a wide range of practical equipment, including:

  • Recordable voice reminder systems
