Board meetings

About our Board meetings

Welcome to the section on our Board meetings. This is where you can find out more about our Non-Executive and Executive Directors and our meetings held in public.

Meetings in public are held four times per year and forthcoming dates are detailed below, along with the process to observe and ask questions.

Our next planned meeting in public will take place between 2pm and 5pm on Wednesday 11 September.

You can view and download the agenda and papers for each meeting in public five working days before it takes place. Click the links below to download Board papers in a PDF format. Our site uses Browsealoud technology, which includes text-to-speech and language translations. To enable this whilst viewing a PDF, first click the orange circle in the top right-hand corner of this page, then select the document you wish to view.

Attending the meetings

You are welcome to come to the meetings and listen to the discussions that take place.

If you would like to attend the meeting to observe, please email us  using by 5pm the day before the meeting. You will be sent details of how to join the meeting. As a guest, you will not be able to speak, or turn on your microphone or camera if joining virtually, unless invited to by the Chair. If you plan to join virtually, we recommend that you download the free Microsoft Teams app in good time before the meeting starts.

The meetings are recorded and the video recording will be available to watch back on YouTube within two working days of the meeting. The recording will be available for two weeks afterwards.

If there are any media enquiries relating to the meeting please contact 0300 124 5401.

If you want to ask a question

During our Board meeting in public, time is set aside to enable you to raise questions related to the meeting agenda.

Please note that questions for Board meetings are published/and the recordings are available on YouTube. By submitting a question to the Board, you are consenting to your name and your question being made public. See our privacy notice for more details on how your personal data is handled.

If you have questions about Sirona or our services that are not related to the Board agenda, please email us and we will direct your query to the relevant service.

A log of previously asked questions and answers will be available on this page within 14 days following the Board meeting in public. We reserve the right to share a précised version of the question.

No questions have been submitted to the Board this year to date.

Notice of questions

A question may only be asked if it has been submitted in writing by midday two working days before the date of the Board meeting.

Each question requested to be asked in public must give the name of the questioner (personal contact details will not be shared in public). If a question is being asked on behalf of an organisation then the name of the organisation must be stated.

How to submit your question

Written questions are to be submitted by email. Please include ‘Question for Board’ in the subject line.  One question per person/organisation per Board meeting is permitted.

Unfortunately we are not able to accept questions submitted by post at this time due to staffing levels in the office. If you need support in submitting a question to the Board, please contact 07769 282709 and we shall be happy to assist you.

A question may be rejected if it:

  1. Is not about a matter on the Board agenda
  2. Is defamatory, frivolous or offensive
  3. Is substantially the same as a question asked within the last six months
  4. Requests the disclosure of information which is confidential or exempt
  5. Names, or clearly identifies, an individual.

The Board is setting aside up to 30 minutes for questions to be answered and will answer as many questions from the public as possible within that time.

The Chair will read out questions on a first come, first served basis. This will be subject to the Chair’s discretion. Only one question per person is permitted at each meeting.

If you have submitted a question and you have attended the meeting to observe, the Chair may invite you to read out your question yourself. This will be confirmed with you in advance.

An answer will take the form of either:

  • An oral answer in the meeting; or
  • If the information required is not easily available, a written answer will be sent to the questioner and circulated to all members of the Board.
  • If it is not possible to answer all the questions in the allotted time on the agenda, individuals will receive a written response.

Copies of the questions asked at Board and the responses will be published on the website within 14 days and be available on the annual register summary.

If you have any further queries regarding our Board meetings, please contact the Head of Corporate Governance.
