What our colleagues say about working for us
”Supporting rehabilitation at home is a very rewarding part of my role.
[Our multidisciplinary teams] help people to work towards their goals, such as being able to get washed and dressed again or to access the wider community. As a Physiotherapist, my role might include prescribing someone an exercise programme, to help rebuild their strength and enable them to walk to the shops again.
GwenBand 6 Senior Physiotherapist
”Working with a diverse population with a vast range of needs means every day is different!
GeorgeBand 6 Senior Physiotherapist
”I first started as a newly qualified Nurse in the community in 2018 following my last student placement in the team. In May 2022, I transitioned into a Community Nurse Team Leader and Sirona have sponsored me to complete my DNSPQ at Master’s Level at UWE.
Even in my current role there is always learning opportunities to further develop my clinical skills. Plus, there are plenty of avenues for me to progress in my career and I’m hoping to work towards becoming an Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
AimeeBand 6 Senior Community Nurse
”The best thing about working in the community is the freedom and continuity of patient care. The team are fantastic and so supportive and help and advice is only a phone call away.
I really feel like I get to know the patients, their families and make a difference because by listening to people about their concerns and needs, I can following up with the relevant care providers, allowing them to be cared for in their home.
