What our colleagues say about working for us
”Over the past two years, I have completed four rotations including; the Community Therapy Team, Respiratory, Musculoskeletal (MSK), and an In-Patient Rehabilitation Unit. To begin with, I was apprehensive about starting as the majority of my University cohort had opted for acute rotations. However, having now completed the rotations I can say that I was provided with countless opportunities to learn and grow within a variety of clinical settings and had the chance to experience areas that I had not covered during a placement whilst at University. The rotations provided me with the necessary skills to progress within Physiotherapy and I have recently been successful with a static Band 6 role within Sirona.
Sirona has set up a preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff that aims to provide structured and targeted support for the first 6 months of employment. The programme schedules monthly catch ups with other Band 5’s to discuss any challenges, alongside completing weekly/fortnightly supervisions with a senior.
Overall, I feel that the rotations have equipped me with the skills to make the jump to a senior role and I am satisfied that I made the right decision to choose these rotations over the acute based on the direction I wanted my career to progress.

”During my community (P1) rotation I’ve had a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide variety of service users including those with neurological, orthopaedic and respiratory conditions; this has allowed me to develop my assessment and treatment techniques for many different clinical presentations. Seeing people just after they’re discharged from hospital provides a great opportunity to complete a holistic assessment of the individual, which can include goal setting, falls assessments and onward referrals.
The team, made up of several different Multi-Disciplinary Team roles such as Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Support Workers, are really supportive. They are always happy to help and work collaboratively. This rotation has not only allowed me to improve my skills as a newly qualified Physiotherapist but also as a well-rounded healthcare professional.

”The teams are very supportive and welcoming and allow for learning and development throughout each rotation, ensuring you see a wide variety of service users. You never feel as if you are repeating yourself between rotations. The flexibility that working in the community enables is great for developing skills such as time management.
