Our Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Podiatry service is made up of a variety of Clinicians, Therapy Assistants and Administrative Support staff, supported by a team of Clinical and Operational Managers. Clinical roles range from Band 4 – Band 8a.
We provide advice, assessment and treatment across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset, with teams covering each of these localities, to enable our service users to access the best possible care from experienced and supportive clinicians in their local area.

Personal and professional development is key to ensuring we deliver the best care to our service users. That’s why we offer ongoing training and support to our colleagues, enabling them to successfully progress through their chosen career path. Many of our Therapists began as Therapy Assistant’s or Band 5 Physiotherapists and progressed into Senior Band 6 and Band 7 Leadership posts.

Our MSK Physiotherapy services provide advice and treatment for conditions that affect joints, bones, muscles, ligaments and tendons. We help people who have difficulty with their day-to-day living due to pain or issues with movement, people who have suffered an injury, or those who have had an orthopaedic operation.
MSKI is a triage service which offers assessment and treatment for people with musculoskeletal (MSK) and/or spinal conditions in Bristol (MATS), North Somerset (CATS) and South Gloucestershire (SATS).
It is aimed at people who have persistent pain and have not responded to initial General Practitioner (GP) care such as advice and pain relief, or other treatment such as physiotherapy or podiatry.
Our MSKI service is run by expert clinicians who aim to determine the best course of care using our clinical expertise, evidence and shared decision making.
Our FCP Clinics are based in GP surgeries or other primary care settings such as local health centres or community-based hospitals. We work at the first point of contact within the Primary Care setting in conjunction with GP services. This is an extended part of our MSK Service covering Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Our Podiatrists work with service users and their families across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire to deliver high-quality care in a variety of settings including community clinics, GP practices, care and nursing homes and people’s own homes.
We specialise in areas such as high risk, diabetes, wound care and biomechanics. We are part of the wider Musculoskeletal (MSK) service who work together to enable people to live longer and healthier lives with access to care and support close to where they live.
